Rogers is a constant, visible presence in his banks’ community events. Over the past 40 years, he has been devoted to the vision and mission of the IBA, immersing himself in numerous banking functions, seminars, workshops, committees, and Board. As a past Chair of the IBA, he dedicated significant time connecting with bankers across the state. He was a strong advocate for the industry in Illinois and in our nation's Capital.
Rogers is a tremendous leader for his bank. While he is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations, he empowers his staff, encouraging them to make decisions and then wholeheartedly supporting those decisions. Placing a high priority on staff development, he motivates his employees to attend seminars, schools, and workshops to enhance their knowledge and careers. He genuinely cares for his staff and their families, treating them as his own – and this extends to the communities his bank serves. The outpouring of respect and admiration from staff, customers, and the community is validation of his deep sense of caring.
He has been called “a trusted friend”, “mentor”, “servant leader”, and “community advocate” for many years. And, as an ambassador of the IBA for decades, his support and growth of the banking industry will be enduring.
