Speakers

Timothy Crane

Tim Crane, President & CEO of Wintrust, oversees 15 community banks and various business sectors. Before this, he led Harris Bank in Chicago for 24 years. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and has significant experience in commercial banking, acquisitions, and international operations. Active in Chicago, Tim serves on several boards and is engaged with prominent local clubs.

Mohamed Basma, CFA 

Mohamed Basma is a managing director, head of leveraged credit at Voya Investment Management. Mohamed also chairs the leveraged credit investment committee. Mohamed is currently a member of the board of directors of the Loan Syndications and Trading Association. Prior at Voya, he was managing director, head of senior loans and global CLOs for leveraged credit, responsible for all aspects of the team’s senior loan and global CLO business and the team’s CLO investing strategies.

Sen. Don Harmon 

In January 2020, Don Harmon was elected by his colleagues to serve as the 39th President of the Illinois Senate. Harmon, an Oak Park native, was first elected to the Illinois Senate in the fall of 2002. During his time in the General Assembly, he championed early childhood education, ethics reform, curbing gun violence, protecting civil rights and expanding voter access. In the Senate, he previously served as president pro tempore and chaired the influential Executive Committee.

Brandon Koeser

Brandon is a senior analyst in RSM’s cutting-edge Industry Analyst Program, positioning him to understand, forecast, and communicate economic, business, and technology trends shaping the industries RSM serves. Brandon’s focus is on advising financial institution and capital markets leaders and clients on business conditions, industry trends, and regulatory developments influencing their ecosystems across North America.

Michael G. O'Rourke

Mick O'Rourke has served as CEO of Signature Bank in Chicago since 2006. Mr. O’Rourke has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry, including serving as Executive Vice President of Associated Bank and previous positions at LaSalle Bank N.A. and American National Bank. 

Michael Ericson

Michael A. Ericson serves as FHLB-C's President and CEO. Previously, he held roles at the Bank as EVP & COO, EVP & Group Head, EVP & Chief Risk Officer, and several Senior VP positions. Before joining FHLB, he was with Bank One, then JPMorgan Chase, and was a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He currently sits on the Boards of Pentegra Defined Benefit Plan and FHLBs’ Office of Finance and chairs the Resolution Funding Corporation Directorate.

James Morrissey

James W. Morrissey is a Shareholder at Vedder Price and Co-Chair of the Financial Institutions group. He specializes in representing financial institutions in mergers, acquisitions, securities offerings, regulatory matters, and corporate governance. His expertise also covers bank regulatory topics like fair lending and BSA, as well as aiding in regulatory exams and enforcement actions.
